Now here is some information you may be able to use someday.
All of us at one time or another go for a blood test. Here are some important numbers for you to figure out the results. Of course, each of us returns to our doctor to know what the story is. But you can have an idea of your situation if you know the following. These are some important health numbers for the average healthy gal or guy:
- Blood pressure—-120/80
- Pulse rate—–70-100 bpm
- Body temperature—-36.8-37 degrees Centigrade
- Breathing rate—-12-16 breaths/minute
- Hemoglobin:
- Male—-13-18 g/dl
- Female—-11.5-16 g/dl
- Blood sugar:
- Children—-70-130 mg/dL
- Adults——–70-115 mg/dL
- Cholesterol—-130-200 mg/dl
- Iron level—-8-15 mg
- WBC—-4,000-11,000
- Potassium—-3.5-5 mEq/L
- Sodium—-135-145 mEq/L
- Platelets—-150,000-400,000
- Triglycerides—-up to 220 mg/dL
- RBC—-4.6-6 million
- Calcium—-8.6-10.3 mg/dL
- Vitamin D3—-30-50 ng/mL
- Vitamin B12—-200-900 pg/mL
Having typed all that down I notice that some of the numbers don’t have the per/volume information. Oops. Anyway, don’t panic if you get blood test results that are out of these limits. It’s just to give you an idea where you stand. And the MOST IMPORTANT THING – you should feel well. Especialy in these days you have to take care of yourself. And never run to a shelter. The Magen David Adom spokespeople have emphasized that many injuries happen to people when they run and fall. That’s why they give you the warning before the actual warning to enter the safe shelter. It gives you time to mosey on down to the shelter area without running.
So be cool.
